This was my room at Amazon Village. As you can see, each room had a hammock on the porch, and I spent a lot of time on mine reading and looking out into the jungle. But come 6 PM, it was pitch dark! The sun came up at 6 AM, and just as soon as it did, the beetles started to make a sort of "sawing" sound that woke us all up!
