I'm back in DF. Arrived here last night by plane from Puerto Vallarta. Am staying this time at the Hotel Milan in the Zona ROMA (not ROSA, where all the nightlife is) part of town. Actually took the metro here from the airport, since I left my suitcase in a locker there. I'm definitely NOT traveling light enough. Hope I can also leave my suitcase in the Buenos Aires airport, but that'll be for several weeks, not just two nights.
Speaking of Buenos Aires, I leave tomorrow afternoon for there via Houston on Continental airlines. It's going to be a long day. Arrive in BA on February 5th. Just have 3 nights in a hostel already planned. The number there (from Feb. 5-8) is El Sol Hostel +54 11 48 11 6802. Everything after that is very much up in the air. It'll be an adventure, to say the least.
Would love to hear from you. Thanks to all of you who've been making comments. Contrary to what some people have written me via email, I don't think it's very difficult to do.
